Three reports by the IPCC, UNEP and GCA evaluate the state of climate risk and adaptation in varying contexts.
Widespread and rapid climate changes increasingly impact every region of the globe. Climate adaptation protects people and communities from floods, droughts, heatwaves and other impacts, and reinforces food security, economic opportunities, health and peace. Three high level reports from 2021 highlight the need and opportunity for adaptation. These reports, authored by the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change, the UN Environment Programme and the Global Center on Adaptation, respectively, each evaluate the state of climate adaptation in varying contexts.
