"Advancing a green and inclusive recovery through adaptation and resilience."
More Info
The global health and economic crisis wrought by the COVID-19 pandemic has been compounded by unprecedented weather events. Disasters continue to threaten food security, accelerate biodiversity loss, endanger livelihoods and increase social inequality. These risks are poised to intensify amid a changing climate. Adaptation and resilience priorities must be embedded into economic recovery packages to help address these impacts.
This event is the first in the Green Recovery Dialogue, a series of high-level events hosted by the Climate Support Facility and the Green Recovery Initiative that seek to elevate the discussion around how investing in green recovery efforts can accelerate low-carbon, climate resilient development. These discussions will be held regularly to raise the discourse on the technical considerations of green recovery and elevate the need for countries to align economic stimulus efforts with the climate targets under the Paris Agreement.
