More Info
Groundwater provides 30% of water supply required for industry, 40% of water required for agriculture and 50% of all drinking water worldwide. It sustains ecosystems, maintains the baseflow of rivers and prevents land subsidence and seawater intrusion. This event will present the 2022 World Water Day and World Toilet Day campaign on groundwater. Participants will learn about the theme through a panel discussion and a preview of the forthcoming UN World Water Development Report.
